On April 17 we had a visit of the President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda. During the visit, we presented pulmonary ventilator manufacturing and developing workflow and discussed how modern assembly lines could help Lithuania to stand in the great economic position while facing similar pandemics.
The first part of the visit was dedicated to present how Teltonika is taking care of employees during COVID-19 pandemic. According to President Gitanas Nauseda:
„Teltonika is a good example of how Lithuanian capital business with well-paid salary can protect employees and demonstrate sustainable business activity. While everybody is discussing about tools that can save employees in this pandemic, Teltonika already made important steps by separating manufacturing plant into different independent shifts and integrating thermal cameras that help to identify each employee’s health condition”.
President Gitanas Nauseda together with Teltonikas‘ chief operating officers discussed about new Telemedic business direction that will be responsible for special medical equipment development. The new activity field should cover not even employees' healthcare, but also the development of new pulmonary ventilator device. According to the President: „Teltonika presented incredible flexibility by creating artificial lung ventilator prototype in a really short period“.
After manufacturing representation, our chief operating officer Martynas made a presentation about the current lung ventilator project workflow and how those devices can be integrated into Lithuanian and other countries' medical infrastructure. Later Martynas presented the latest PCB responsible for air mechanical components and user interface control.
President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda in the official press release mentioned: „Such crisis have two options. The first one is to fix ship holes in the storm. Another is to take advantage of this storm and build a new economy ship that will sail much faster than previously. Lithuania has many companies that can reshape their activity to manufacture mandatory devices that will be in high demand.
President Gitanas Nausėda extended congratulations to founder Arvydas Paukstys and all the people of Teltonika on the fight against COVID-19.
