We continue running our scholarship programme and establishing a close connection with universities. Today we have achieved another important goal: UAB TELTONIKA IoT GROUP (including all Teltonika companies in Lithuania) has signed an agreement with Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH). Together with VILNIUS TECH, we are perfectly aware that technological progress is driven by close cooperation between science and business. By working side by side with the university, we will contribute to joint scientific research and the training of highly qualified specialists.

Helping the university

The long-standing vision of Teltonika is the discovery and development of new talents. Therefore, to ensure that young people have the best conditions to grow, develop their skills, excel and ultimately become professionals in their field, we will do our utmost to contribute to the improvement of university studies. When needed, we will provide our recommendations, supervise students' academic work, and deliver lectures on relevant topics. We will also provide VILNIUS TECH with the necessary technical equipment and teaching methodology material and help the university establish research laboratories within our possibilities.

The first IoT and B2B academies in Lithuania, founded by Teltonika, invite students to do their internships and acquire practical experience. The academies were established more than three years ago, and a large number of academy participants are students of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. According to Julius Švagždys, Chief Corporate Marketing Manager of Teltonika IoT Group, “The Teltonika company group aims to hire about 2000 new specialists within the next 4-5 years, the majority of which will be from technological fields. In 10 years, the demand for these specialists in Lithuania will triple. Therefore, by investing in the promotion of technical study programmes, we are also contributing to the promotion of Lithuania as a high-tech country.“

University’s contribution

VILNIUS TECH will assist the Teltonika company group in conducting research, organizing employee development programmes, finding young talents to join our team or undertake internships in Teltonika academies. We hope that with the university’s active support, many more VILNIUS TECH alumni will join the Teltonika company group. We believe that the number of talented technology professionals will rapidly grow in the future if we work together with the university and continue improving the research and study process.

We will also contribute to this goal by granting as many as 36 scholarships of €3000 to first-year students at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. The selected students will receive €300 a month.
