Teltonika 2024: Year in Review
Even though the world around us constantly changes, some things always remain the same. Every Holiday Season, we get immersed in the wholesome, festive atmosphere, hoping for the best and reminiscing about the year that’s coming to an end. And for Teltonika, this year has been truly transformational and memorable.
We had a significant change in our management, opened our brand-new headquarters in Vilnius, and established five representative offices in Europe, Asia, and North America. We manufactured almost eight million products and launched 27 new devices. Our most demanded products this year were the FMC920 telematics device for basic tracking as well as the RUT241 and RUT200 industrial cellular routers.
Let’s recall all the important moments of 2024.
Marius Derenčius in charge of the company group
In 2024, Arvydas Paukštys transferred the management of the Teltonika company group to Marius Derenčius. Marius has been working at Teltonika for over a decade and previously acted as the vice president of profit centres’ business development.
“We have already proven to the world that we can create exceptional IoT products, helping tens of thousands of partners around the world. We will continue to create extraordinary products and value for our customers. We will do this with the help of a talented team, fostering the culture of mutual trust and respect,” says Marius Derenčius, the new president of the company group.
Arvydas Paukštys remains in charge of the investment management company AGP Investments and is the main shareholder of Teltonika. “This change will allow Teltonika to focus on its ambitious global growth plans, while my increased involvement in AGP Investments’ projects will help other businesses to grow faster,” explains A. Paukštys. Following the decision of AGP Investments’ shareholders, new groups of companies will be formed, operating separately from the Teltonika brand companies.
The heart of Teltonika in Vilnius
In just over two years, a state-of-the-art building emerged in the centre of Vilnius, at Saltoniškių St. 14 – Teltonika’s brand-new headquarters. This is where the management of the whole Teltonika company group operates and coordinates the activities of all our representative offices. The building can accommodate just over 400 employees.
Teltonika’s headquarters office has five workspace floors and two floors for underground parking. It was designed and built according to the international BREEAM standard for sustainable buildings, featuring smart office solutions, energy-efficient engineering systems, and automated ventilation, heating, and lighting control. The building provides plenty of natural light through a 400 m² glass roof and a comfortable environment with spacious kitchenettes, lounge areas, and a 100-seat restaurant, all to ensure the best working conditions for the employees.
This exceptional building delights employees and guests with its contemporary feel and timeless interior. One of its many benefits is the views over the magnificent Vilnius city skyline, Gediminas Castle and Constitution Avenue.
Closer to partners in Asia, Europe, and North America
The largest international expansion in Teltonika’s history happened this year, with five new representative offices opening in different parts of the world. Today, we already have our teams in 26 countries worldwide.
We have opened an office in Tokyo to be closer to our partners in Japan and Asia. Also, our European partners now can easily reach Teltonika’s teams not only in Lithuania and Ukraine but also in Poland (Warsaw), Italy (Milan), and the UK (Manchester).
Another strategic step in our international expansion has been the establishment of a local branch in Dallas. This branch will serve our US partners even faster and create significant added value in the telematics and networking equipment sectors.
We wish the recently appointed local CEOs all the best in their challenging but fulfilling duties.
Special Teltonika events for partners
We understand the importance of maintaining close, trust-based relationships with partners and providing them with much more than just products. This year, we organised 12 big events for our partners so they could get hands-on experience with our products, learn the latest market insights, and connect with fellow professionals in the field.
Telematics Summit Europe 2024 gathered our European partners in Teltonika's newly built headquarters in Vilnius. The participants learned about our latest telematics products, their versatile applications, and crucial legislative changes. The events were packed with valuable presentations, workshops, and live demonstrations.
We have also brought the Telematics Summit to Dubai, where one of Teltonika’s oldest offices is located. The event featured topics and use cases pertinent to the Middle East, early access to unreleased products, and our telematics solutions roadmap.
Our partners in the network solutions field had a chance to meet our R&D teams at Teltonika’s Tech SummIT. The summit was dedicated to engineers and technical teams, as they are the ones who directly interact with networking devices. Tech SummIT events took place in Warsaw, Prague, and Cambridge. They offered our partners a wide range of activities: presentations on relevant topics, interactive stands, practice sessions, live product demonstrations, and even a special Configuration Challenge activity.
In Istanbul and Lyon, we gathered more than 100 partners for our Partner SummIT events. These events were an excellent opportunity for us to build strong relationships in local markets and for our partners to see our latest technologies up close.
Quite recently we have also organised three large events for clients in Tanzania, Namibia, and Nigeria. There, we presented technologies that are driving innovation in the region in such industries as mining, agriculture, and logistics: from precise fuel management solutions to reliable asset trackers.

TeltoHeart certified as a medical device
Teltonika’s cutting-edge heart monitoring wristband, TeltoHeart, has achieved some critical milestones in 2024. It has received a complete CE MDR certification, allowing it to be legally introduced as a medical device in Europe. The certification confirms that both the software and hardware of the TeltoHeart wristband meet the comprehensive quality standards for medical devices. A similar medical device certificate was granted for TeltoHeart in Kazakhstan. These accomplishments opens up new markets worldwide for this innovative product.
The TeltoCare platform, where doctors and service providers can monitor and analyse patients’ heart parameters, was improved with a new, more convenient UI design and more detailed ECG, AFib, and heart rate data. The heart monitoring wristband itself has also been updated with new functionalities.
Prestigious healthcare facilities in Europe and Asia have positively evaluated the features and benefits of TeltoHeart. Pilot batches of the device can already be found in some large pharmacy chains and biggest private clinics in Lithuania, Kazakhstan, India, UAE, Italy, and Armenia. In 2025, we are planning to expand into other countries where Teltonika’s offices are established.
Record numbers of new network devices
Teltonika’s networking solutions team has launched 22 new devices this year – an impressive number, exceeding that of 2022 and 2023 combined. All thanks to the remarkable work of the R&D team.
Several of those 22 products are innovative 5G networking devices. With our new RedCap series routers, RUT271 and RUT976, we offer a perfect, future-proof solution for reducing costs of private 5G deployments. RedCap devices bridge the gap between 4G and full-capacity 5G, providing low latency and high capacity at affordable pricing.
For mission-critical applications, we launched a powerful solution – the RUTM52 dual 5G router. It features dual 5G modems, multi-WAN capabilities, instant SIM and eSIM switch, and advanced load balancing, providing outstanding performance and reliable connectivity.
We have also introduced new solutions for outdoor use in harsh and unpredictable weather conditions: the OTD500 and OTD140 outdoor routers. Rain, hail, dust, or snow are no issue for these durable and reliable connectivity devices.
Another significant advancement in the networking field is the launch of our first eSIM devices, e.g., the RUT241 eSIM router. This router actually has both a regular SIM slot and an eSIM capability, providing more flexibility and allowing you to easily switch between different carriers.
Feel free to check out all the new devices on Teltonika’s networking solutions website.
Client-centric developments in telematics
While in 2023, Teltonika’s telematics business unit focused on the development of the FT platform, in 2024, the emphasis shifted to adapting it to client needs. This has meant addressing inquiries, gathering feedback, and planning new products, including the FMB analogues and such unique innovations as the smallest CAN tracker and a rechargeable mini asset tracker. Throughout the year, three stable firmware updates have been released. The latest one included all essential tracker features and about 75% of frequently used functionalities.
We have also released new products within the FMB platform. The new FMx250 series devices are the highly anticipated upgraded versions of FMx150, tailored to cases when the IP67-rated casing and CAN data reading are necessary. This series is perfect for such industries as construction, agriculture, and logistics.
To ensure precise temperature monitoring, Teltonika introduced EYE Sensor EN12830, compliant with European and FDA standards. It is a safe and reliable solution that helps to quickly identify any temperature deviations, allows perishable goods to be stored in optimum conditions, and extends their shelf life.
What’s more, we developed the new EYE Beacons ATEX and EYE Sensors ATEX, holding the ATEX Zone 1 certification. This certification confirms that they can safely operate in hazardous explosive environments.
Assets & Workforce device portfolio had two additions: TAT240, a tamper-proof asset tracking device with advanced magnetic mounting, and TAT141, asset tracker designed for the North American market. Both are great for protecting your valuable equipment or vehicles from theft.
All these devices and more can be found on Teltonika’s telematics website.
New release of the EV charging solution in development
For Teltonika Energy, one of Teltonika’s companies working on EV charging solutions, 2024 has been a year of introspection, strengthening positions in current markets and laying plans for further expansion in new ones. We focused on received feedback and further development, participated in many projects together with our partners, and broke new grounds with complex integrations to achieve the best client experience. Teltonika Energy also welcomed a new CEO, Ernestas Varnas, who has been a long-time employee at Teltonika.
In the background, we are enthusiastically working on a new and highly improved AC charger solution. News of release are just over the horizon, so stay tuned.
Plastic and mechanical components plant underway
Continuing the vertical integration strategy, Teltonika began the construction of the plastic and mechanical components plant in Vilnius. This plant is one of the Teltonika High-Tech Hill technology park projects, aiming at reducing Teltonika’s dependency on external suppliers, controlling all the production steps, and shortening product launch times.
Teltonika’s plastic and mechanical components factory will be one of the largest of its kind in Lithuania and strategically important for strengthening the country’s economy. As stated by Arvydas Paukštys, founder of Teltonika: “The new plant will enable us to automate the production of plastic and mechanical components, which are an important part of the entire supply chain. We will be able to design and produce moulds ourselves. This will help to ensure even better product quality and reduce the launch time of new products by half.”
Like all Teltonika factories, this one will also feature a high level of automation, meet all the necessary environmental requirements, and use electricity from renewable energy sources.
Teltonika High-Tech Hill project news
In 2023, we started the development of the Teltonika High-Tech Hill technology park in Vilnius, with a PCB plant and an electronics assembly plant being the first to be built. In 2024, as mentioned above, we began the construction of a plastic and mechanical components plant, including a warehouse. All these new factories should be operational in the second half of 2025.
We had also planned to start developing several other Teltonika High-Tech Hill facilities but, unfortunately, faced bureaucratic hurdles. In November this year, Arvydas Paukštys, CEO of AGP Investments, announced that all new projects in the technology park are on hold until the land use is sorted out and the necessary electricity infrastructure is in place.
These issues are to be resolved by the Lithuanian authorities and the state-owned energy companies. However, it is already clear that the completion of all the planned projects in Teltonika High-Tech Hill will take until around 2030, two or three years later than initially planned.
Let’s meet in 2025!
All these milestones and achievements wouldn’t have been possible without our partners and clients and without the work and dedication of our employees. Wherever you are in the world, may the next year be kinder, better, and more prosperous for you.
Happy New Year!
