TELTONIKA COMPANY GROUP RECOGNISED FOR INFORMATION SECURITY MANAGEMENT
Information security is receiving increasing attention and effort as it is a crucial part of today’s business processes. Businesses that take proper care of information security receive the international Information Security Management Certificate ISO27001, which has been recently awarded to the Teltonika company group.
ISO27001 is an internationally recognised standard that specifies the requirements for the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of an Information Security Management System (ISMS) in organisations. The Teltonika company group acquired this certification as a result of long-term and continuous efforts, updating information security policies and improving processes to ensure the effectiveness of information security management, reduce the number of security incidents and respond to potential incidents more efficiently.
According to Artūras Golyšenko, head of IT Infrastructure and Security at Teltonika IoT Group, ISO27001 certification is important for several reasons.
"ISO27001 certification is a sign of reliability. It shows that we are responsible in our information security practices and that we have implemented measures to protect the information of Teltonika's clients and employees. Data security is becoming more important than ever before. This is evidenced by the growing business and public focus on this area and the constantly updated and increasingly stringent data protection legislation. Information security requirements for businesses are changing accordingly, and organisations with ISO 27001 certification are more trusted," says A. Golyšenko.
He highlights that having this certificate shows that an organisation is serious about information security and has the necessary processes and technical measures in place to protect the information it handles and stores: "By obtaining this certificate, we are demonstrating to all stakeholders our commitment to implementing the best practices in information security and taking appropriate measures to mitigate information security risks. We ensure that sensitive data and important information is protected from potential threats."
