The Teltonika company group is joining the initiative to provide Ukrainian war orphans with a summer holiday in Lithuania. Almost 400 Ukrainian children are expected to visit Lithuania for a summer vacation organised by Strong Together and Blue/Yellow organisations. The most generous supporter of this charitable initiative was Teltonika, which contributed EUR 200,000.

On 24th June, the first bus carrying Ukrainian war orphans left Kyiv. It is expected to reach Lithuania on Monday, where the children will spend a week in a summer camp. The first group of children from Ukraine will gather at a football camp. Other groups will enjoy creative film, adventure, travel, and seaside camps in the coastal region near the Baltic Sea and in Aukštaitija National Park. The organisers also intend to provide the children with gifts for the upcoming start of the school year.

"Last summer, we organised camps for children of war refugees who had fled to Lithuania. We realized that our assistance was indeed needed. Now, we want to help children who have had an even more difficult time – those whose parents died defending their country from an aggressor," says Edmundas Jakilaitis, the head of Strong Together.

"Ukrainian children affected by the war are enduring immense pain. They have lost loved ones and the opportunity to enjoy their childhood, and the horrors of war will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on their lives. That is why we want to give them, at the very least, a short holiday in Lithuania and help them escape from their horrendous everyday lives," says Arvydas Paukštys, founder and president of Teltonika.

Teltonika consistently supports Ukraine through its office in Kyiv, while also participating in various support initiatives. Earlier this year, the Teltonika company group contributed EUR 1.45 million to the Radarom! campaign.

We would like to remind you that Teltonika has ceased its representative offices in Russia and Belarus in March 2022, suspended sales of its products in these countries, and terminated contacts with its customers in these countries. Within six months, both offices were closed and all employees were made redundant. Since then, Teltonika has no business relations with Russia or Belarus.

Donations for the holidays of war orphans in Lithuania can be made by calling the number 1409. The call cost is EUR 5. Alternatively, you can make a transfer to the Strong Together account LT387044090101401806 or to the Paypal wallet: [email protected], with the note "For war orphans" in the transfer subject.
