A symbolic time capsule with a letter to future generations was buried on Thursday at the construction site of the Teltonika IoT Group administrative building. The construction of the first floor on Saltoniškių Street in Vilnius is already underway.

“A letter buried in the foundation symbolically means that we are thinking about future generations and the legacy we’ll leave them. Indeed, Teltonika’s activities prove that we are building a tomorrow where future generations will enjoy living and working in Lithuania. The new office building is just one of our fourteen investment projects planned for the coming years. This building will be the heart of Teltonika, our hub where we will bring our Teltonika IoT Group employees together under one roof and from where we will coordinate the activities of our regional offices around the world. By consolidating the management of our divisions in one place, we will be able to work more efficiently. And our employees will have the best working conditions and a comfortable working environment in a modern building,” says Arvydas Paukštys, president of Teltonika IoT Group.

The underground car parking structures have already been installed, and the first-floor slab has been poured. The structural part of the building is expected to be completed this autumn, followed by facade finishing. The interior fit-out is planned for next year. The headquarters of Teltonika IoT Group will have up to 500 employees. The building will be opened by the end of 2023.

The building will have five floors, with two additional floors dedicated to underground parking. Employees will be able to use electric car charging stations, and a separate bike storage area will be set up for bicycle enthusiasts.

The triangular-shaped building was designed by a team of architects from the company Architektūros linija: Gintaras Čaikauskas, Miroslaw Szejnicki, Virginija Venckūnienė, Faustas Lasys, Simonas Čaikauskas. Their vision focuses on the visual connection of the building to the centre of Vilnius. It is emphasised by the front frame of the building’s facade, which is oriented towards the historic Old Town. The building allows for the installation of state-of-the-art lighting technologies. The terrace on the top floor of the building will also be oriented towards the city centre.

The first floor will house a restaurant exclusively for Teltonika employees and a conference room. It will be adorned with an open courtyard in the central part of the building - an atrium. The work areas on the upper floors will be grouped around the atrium. Each floor will have a lounge area for relaxation.

The new office building will have an A+ energy efficiency class. It has been designed to meet the requirements of the international BREEAM certification for sustainable buildings. It will be equipped with modern and energy-efficient engineering systems, with automated control of ventilation, heating and lighting. The total area of the office building will be almost 18,000 m2.

The investment in this Teltonika IoT Group building project is around €30 million. The loan for the construction was granted by Swedbank in May.
