Teltonika Energy, a company belonging to the Lithuanian hi-tech group Teltonika, has started mass production of the EV charger TeltoCharge. Thanks to the talented and highly-skilled Teltonika's engineers, the EV charging station was developed in less than a year. The concept was presented at the end of 2021, whereas mass production started in the second half of September this year.

The development of TeltoCharge device has been highly accelerated by the rising wave of green energy solutions worldwide. The market for electric cars is growing rapidly; so is the global EV charging infrastructure.

"With rising energy prices, investments in renewable energy solutions pay for themselves much faster. Solar energy is leading the way now. Last year, we had a record of solar power systems installations with a combined capacity of 183 GW worldwide. As to electric mobility, the growth is skyrocketing, too. Sales of electric cars doubled in 2021 to a new record of 6.6 million. More and more people are switching from conventional cars to EVs, so the proper and sufficient EV charging infrastructure is key. Therefore, by offering the smart TeltoCharge charger, we aim to contribute to faster development of the entire EV infrastructure and a greener and cleaner future. We are ready to challenge the existing leaders in the EV charging industry," says Tadas Tumelis, CEO of Teltonika Energy.

TeltoCharge is an easy-to-use, smart and reliable EV charging station. The Lithuanian-made charger offers a wide variety of configuration options, from different front plate colors, socket or cable variants, to various connection types. Depending on individual needs, users can also choose the device with a suitable power rating of 7.4 kW, 11 kW, and up to 22 kW. TeltoCharge is compatible with all all-electric or plug-in hybrid cars.

The first Teltonika Energy’s product is designed for private and semi-public use. It can be installed in private homes, courtyards, parking lots, and garages. Also, it can be used for charging a company's electric fleet or employees' electric vehicles.

The TeltoCharge has been developed in Lithuania and is currently being assembled at the Teltonika EMS factory in Vilnius. The entire production chain is covered internally within the Teltonika group companies, which helps Teltonika Energy ensure quality and ramp up capacity volumes effectively. In about a month, the production will be transferred to the new Teltonika Technology Centre in Molėtai, which is scheduled to open in the second half of October.

In 2023, the company prepares to increase production volumes significantly, offer new charging solutions for electric vehicles, and actively expand into foreign markets, with its products being sold in more than 100 countries.
